Marilyn Charlat Dix is shown presenting her painting, entitled “Mi Alma.” The painting was commissioned by the Stroum Jewish Community Center to honor Doreen Alhadeff. Unveiled at a reception on August 14,^th the artwork recognizes Doreen’s work that enabled descendants of expelled Spanish Jews to proudly claim their Spanish citizenship after 530 years.  This painting illustrates Doreen’s accomplishments helping the Sephardic community.
