Gallery artist Eliaichi Kimaro is having her first Solo show!!!

As a self-taught artist and creative storyteller, Eliaichi is constantly reinventing herself, learning whatever medium it takes to tell the story that is emerging.

She finds beauty in the rusty, weathered and worn.  Eliaichi  loves the stories that scars hold ~ and feels compelled to take those stories of survival, and turn them into something beautiful to behold.

The mixed media paintings in this show will be an amalgam of hot and/or cold wax.  Over the past year, Eliaichi has been working with oil and cold wax, and experimenting with ways to integrate this new medium into her encaustic work.

The opening will be part of West Seattle Art Walk, and the show will be from May 9 – June 23.
