I sew with wire, play with clay, draw with coils, repeat shapes, paint with wax, dabble in color, search for balance, and portray imperfections as beautiful.
Shari Kaufman is a Seattle artist working in the mediums of Ceramics- creating wall sculptures- and Hand Knit Wire Jewelry. She has shown her work in galleries around the Greater Puget Sound area.
Shari discovered Ceramics many years ago and has been enamored ever since by the capacity of clay to respond to texture. She draws her inspiration from observing the natural world around her.
Her wall sculptures are composed of multiple ceramic pieces and she often incorporates additional materials such as wire, wood, and metal.
