My practice highlights the intricate beauty of natural design, creating sculptures that captivate and inspire a deeper connection to the living world.

My fascination with the natural world began early in life. Counting tadpoles, making plaster casts of wildlife tracks, and learning bird calls as a child nurtured a deep reverence for life that permeates my practice and work. Although I pursued a career in the sciences, it wasn’t my calling. I now combine my scientific background with my creative process—to search for the unexpected, offer educational experiences, and create art that is instrumental to conservation.

In my work, natural specimens are the primary medium, supplemented with hand-sculpted cold porcelain flowers. Each piece reflects my deep gratitude for life, a defiance to endure, and a recognition of the fragile yet resilient web that connects us all. By working with the remains of creatures that walk, crawl, flutter, and fly, I share the fleeting magic of existence—the precious gift of waking each morning, balanced by the responsibility we hold to one another and to the living world.
