Carol Berger Hershman

I have the fun of making wonderful patterns and holding different shapes in my hand.

Art shoots off in many directions for me. My sculpture is my serious side that has many branches. It can be figurative, abstract or part of my holocaust series. It can be made in wax to be cast into bronze, carved directly from stone, or built up with paper layered over a wire armature. More recently I am using synthetic clay for sculpture.

My jewelry is my “just for fun” part. I get to use color, which I miss in most of my sculptures. I have the fun of making wonderful patterns and holding different shapes in my hand. Finally, I get the joy of seeing people decorating themselves and feeling beautiful.
