Dukkha(Pali; Sanskrit:Duhkha) is a term that can refer to that which causes suffering, pain, sorrow, distress, grief or misery. As immigrants from India, the Philippines, Cambodia, and Vietnam we come to this country with things to unpack, to share and, sometimes, to put away. As children of immigrants, these same things become a part of our inheritance. Our approach to liberation; spiritual, political, economic, and social includes both our closeness and distance from our physical and historical past.
